ARCHITECTURE DESIGN STUDIO V
Project 1: Preliminary Studies

The Preliminary Studies is a preparatory assignment that focuses on investigating basic notions of the city, and learning from examples of community library around the world. This assignment aims to firstly introduce students to the basics in urban design and its relation to architecture, and secondly, studying and determining the programmatic function, societal role and spatial layout of a community library and architectural responses for urban infills.
The Preliminary Studies comprises of three components: Site Documentation, Site Analysis, and Precedent Studies of Urban Infills and Community Library. The Site Documentation and Site Analysis will equip students with a firm understanding of the site they will be working with this semester, while the Precedent Studies will provide an insight into architectural responses for designing an urban infill community library.

From this assignment, my site location is at sentul west which is poor area, My teamate and I went to the site for site analysis for around 4-5times. It was very challenging. My part is to analysis vehicle circulation and make 3d site model. I also able to understand the physical and cultural context and development of urban environments with the rise of urbanism at Sentul East. We need to prepare production fo site documentation such as drawing and models to present.
Final Project : Interim 1 : Pin-up presentation of Massing and Formal Strategy

The first interim is to explore programmatic requirements and spatial layout of the design scheme and explore formal and structural design strategy. I had prepare sketches, diagrams, massing study models, orthographic plan-section and elevation exploration drawings, evidence of weekly readings in discussions and references of precendent studies of few buildings.
Final Project : Interim 2 : Presentation of Finalised Spatial Layout and Plans

The second interim is to develop and finalise structural, spatial and formal design and explore, develop and incorporate design and details of façade, lighting and acoustic technologies. I had prepare orthographic plan-section and elevation drawings, sectional perspective and detail section drawings, sketches, spatial and façade development models, diagrams and evidence of weekly readings in discussions.

Final Project :

For the rest of the semester, students will concentrate on designing a community library within an urban infill site. The design of the building is to consist of appropriate architectural responses that address the aspects of the urban street context and user behavioural patterns as discerned and analysed in the Preliminary Studies.
Apart from developing an appropriate formal and elevational strategy in response to the character of the street, the design should take into consideration a holistic application of structural, spatial, functional and environmental requirements to address the user needs for a community library. The design development of this project will include an introduction to the legislative restrictions that impact an architectural scheme, the integration of lighting and acoustic design, as well as the design exploration and detailing of the façade and building envelopes that is coherent with the architectural language of the overall design project.

The final project I had complete production of Presentation Panels and Final Model which contain sectional perspective and detail wall section drawings, floor plans, sections, site elevation(s), diagrams of schematic design and design development and final model. Furthermore, I had able to understand urban design and context in relation to architecture with basic compliance of design codes and law requirements.
