Project 3 Animation: A maximum 90 seconds Animation of the Completed 3D Scene
From this assignment I had learn to render animation in 3ds max and Lumion. At first, I thought it was very hard to learn and thought cant make it. But is not, it was quite easy to learn. I had use 3ds max to test render but it took a long time like few days but in low quality and hadrash in half way. So I decide to try Lumion 3d, I export the rigging and animation path in 3ds max to Lumion 3D. Fortunately, it works but the materials slot are gone. So I need to reassign the material into Lumion 3d. After I recreate the environment, I start to render in best quality with 1080p resolution. I was shock it just took 1hour for drop down animation and 2hours for walk through animation. If in 3ds max, I think might take a long time for a good quality.
*Can Set to 1080P HD For Better Quality
Work In Progress ( Animation )
![]() 1Create Spline for Camera Path | ![]() 2Assign Camera, Dummy and Add Path | ![]() 3Attach link between dummy and camera |
---|---|---|
![]() 4Adjusting the keyframe for setting where the camera will look at on each keyframe | ![]() 5Setting time configuration | ![]() 6Setting vray render properties |
* Walk Throught Animation
* Test walking Animation In Max
* Drop Down Animation
![]() 1Create Spline in Circle to allow camera rotate to see all view of the drop down animation | ![]() 2Assigning camera | ![]() 3Assign Path Constrant to add path on the circle spline |
---|---|---|
![]() 4Grouping the model into few category example wall, door | ![]() 5Set time configuratio to 900keyframes | ![]() 6Each category took 50frame to drop down |
![]() 7Now prepare to animate the drop down | ![]() 8Set key for each category with 50keyframes | ![]() 9Set the render properties which choosing active time segment 0-900 |
![]() 10Start rendering it took 12hours to finish. But it crash in half way so I decide to use lumion which render faster |
* Test Drop Down Animation In Max
![]() 1Export to Lumion by using FBX | ![]() 2Active the animation on FBX setting | ![]() 3Import animation and the model into the lumion 3d |
---|---|---|
![]() 4Assign the material onto the model | ![]() 5Assign camera path on the model | ![]() 6Choosing the render quality |
![]() 7It took around 1hours for 30sec, 5star quality and 1440p. Hence in 3ds max , will be more than 1-2days or even more and easy crash in half way | ![]() 8I edit and compile the video by using window movie maker |
* Final Render and Video Edit
