Project 1: Contextual Architecture Study
From this assingment, I had chosen a resort house at Pulau Banding as contextural architecture and compare the Malay vernacular architecture. Based on the both building, I had research about the attributes such as construction, type of houses, elements,layout, material, common addition sequences & etc and illusrated into A2 presentation visual to clarify the information and visual communication design.
Project 2 : Case Study Paper
I had chose the same building from the project 1 which is Kampung Villa at Pulau Banding. I had create a topic of the indoor environmental quality and the effectiveness of adopting Shera instead using timber as Sustainable Building Material. Hence, I had learn to define specific scope of study that reflects the research intention of contextual architecture and significane of study. After all the research, Shera is one of the alternative material for timber which provide good sustainable building material. Moreover, I gather all this information and translate into a case study paper to show the research process carried out in generating the design proposal.
