COMMUNITY SERVICE INITIATIVE
Project : Fundraising for dog shelter
This module, this subject known as communitive service initiative is a module that teach use to contribute to the society that need in help. It is basically a curriculum that provide helps by us and creates senses of awareness among the society towards the issues. We had given choice to choose whether dog or orphanages and disadvantaged individuals. For me, I chose stray dog for my assignment because I hope that more stay dogs able to get home instead of bully by the people at the street.

E-Journal: Reflection​
In the beginning of module, two association had approached us:

The students are broken down into two group. I decide to participate in helping Lost Animal Soul Shelter (LASS). The groups is then further broken down in two:

I was under fundraising team.
First Workshop
We then attend the first workshop held by the psychologist of the dog shelter; Mr. Samy Velu Chandrasagaran wan us to understand how we should handle and communicate with the stray dogs. At first, I feel quite scared they bite me, because once I show the dog cookies, they chase me with hunger face. Hence,I also able to interact with Stray dogs by playing with them, patting them.

Second Workshop
The second workshop was dog washing activities. It taught us on how to handle the dogs when they are exposed with their fear, for me I had own dog before, so basiclly I know to bath them. It was fun.

Fund Raising Activities
Through group discussion, we came with an agreement to raise fundraising by selling 2 graphic t-shirt which are blue and green, 5 type of bags and 5 type of badges representing LASS and creating awareness to the society. Each of us has an amount of goods to be sold in order to reach our ideal targeted fund. I had designed a poster as for proposal and advertisement to sell our goods and spreading awareness. We even advertised the goods with helps of social media; sharing of post and facebook page : HERE

Poster
We design the poster to spread the awareness to everyone in facebook. The left poster is to how the prototype what we going to for the fundraising. On the right poster, I and with one of my friend together design for furter event.

Bandar Utama Park
​
The very first fundraising activity is held at Dog Park at Bandar Utama Area. We walk around the park to help fundrasing and create awareness. We had sold more than ten graphic t-shirt and get donation from the people there. During our visit, there was a dog event held by the dog lover society which give us a positive feedback on the fundraising activity.

Shopee Bazaar
​
The last event is the shopee bazaar held in Jaya One; The School. This event basically had us registered ourselves on a shopping app and have the customer to purchase our goods with it. The event held for several days on weekend. It had gain a positive result from the sales as well as the donation from the people. We able to get fund around rm1k for three days
​
Conclusion
I able to find some of my friend, mom, mom friend and sister for donate to this fundraising. I feel shock I able to sold 20 badges, 15 bags and 12 blue- tshirt with various size total up was rm750. I feel very happy of everyone that provide their effort to fund raising those poor dogs. I also learn how to provide a proper awareness not only for dogs and can be others.
